My name is Jade Ratterman and I am currently in Portfolio at Blue Valley Southwest High School.

 

I have been a character performer for princess birthday parties and events for about 6 months now. Through a business that I have created, I enjoy bringing happiness and magic to children in the area. I have been in theater since I was 6 (I am now 18) and it has influenced where I am today. After visiting Disney World in the summers of 2018 and 2019, I discovered a dream that I didn't know existed. I discovered my desire to be a Disney princess. After stumbling across another person's "Princessing" Instagram I realized that my dream could become a reality right here in the Kansas City area, and thus, "Sunflower State Princess Appearances" was born. I am living my dream in my hometown and bringing children's dreams to life. Who could ask for anything more?

I enjoy many forms of art such as photography, drawing, ceramics, painting, and building. Aside from being a full-time high school student, my father and I run a fairy house construction business; we focus on customized fairy houses for many occasions. Some of our works include memory houses, mini-me houses, and a tooth fairy houses. I enjoy creating pieces that I can be proud of and that others enjoy as well. Art is a very large part of my life and I am thankful for the abilities I've been blessed with that allow me to pursue art.
